I was fortunate to be able to watch and learn. Now, my philosophy is that every job you take molds you into the person you are. When they closed the butcher shop and started his career in real estate, I saw him apply the same philosophy: provide exceptional, personal and consistently amazing service.
I believe that real estate isn’t simply about finding solutions for people who need to buy or sell a home. Being a real estate agent means providing a service. When you start working with me, I will stay at your side every step of the way. It’s not simply making a deal, it’s about helping you make one of the biggest and most emotional decisions of your life. Whether you’re empty nesters downsizing because your children have moved away or a young couple looking for a home in which to raise your family, I know that I can help you make the best decision.

In 2002, an opportunity for me to sell the butcher shop came up. Feeling ready to take on a new challenge, I decided that selling was the right thing to do and set out to develop a new career. I was nervous, excited, and optimistic. Although I had no idea how to turn on a computer, I quickly realized that my future was going to be in real estate for one simple reason: I absolutely love helping people.
I immediately began studying for the real estate exams. Nervous, I went to RE/MAX Escarpment where I met Anne Zurini, the woman who I credit to this day with helping me to grow confidence as a new realtor - someone who truly started at the bottom. One client at a time, I began to build my business. Slowly but surely, word spread about my passionate, customer-first approach to real estate. I have earned the trust of my clients because I want what is best and do what I can to protect them from making unwise purchases and/or sales, and I am proud to say that I have a reputation for going the extra mile to make others happy.
The more successful I become, the more important it is for me to give back to the community that enabled me to have such a great career. I sincerely believe that in life you get what you give. Now, looking back on the successful business that has grown over the past 18 years, I am extremely grateful to my wonderful wife, Joanne, of 42 years, my 3 amazing children and their spouses, and my 5 precious grandchildren Jack, David, Lily, Emma and Nate, for providing the patience and support in my life. My Dad said retirement was a man made word so I look forward to continuing my journey for many years to come, the good Lord willing.

Anna Mahoney
Director of OperationsAnna joined the Hogeterp team in April 2017. She has lived in Haldimand County since 2012 and currently resides in Caledonia. She has 3 children – 2 are now married. Anna has a diploma in Office Administration from Mohawk College – McKeil School of Business (2014 – Medical Stream) and an over 20-year career in the Medical Field as an Emergency/Diagnostic Imaging Clerk and a PSW, giving her skills of time management, organization, attention to detail and drive for excellence in representing our clients. Anna is responsible for managing the office, processing property deals, keeping clients files in order, and ensuring Peter and Chuck have everything they need to respond to your needs as a Buyer and/or Seller quickly and efficiently. Anna enjoys camping, hiking, and wine with friends.
Leanne Enns
Client Care CoordinatorLeanne is Chuck & Peter’s listing and client care coordinator. With an eye for detail and a passion for working with people - she joined her father (Peter) and brother (Chuck) in 2017. Her prime objective is to provide the best customer service when listing with Chuck & Peter. Leanne is responsible for preparing the listing packages, reviewing all photos and information with the clients, loading listings, creating feature sheets, and obtaining and relaying all feedback from showings. With Leanne on their team, Chuck & Peter are able to provide personalized attention to our clients on a daily basis. When she is not working in the family business, Leanne enjoys four-wheeling, a good campfire, and a cold glass of wine with her husband Tom and 2 boys Jack & David.
Jeliesa Tiersma
Administrative AssistantLiving locally in Haldimand County, Jeliesa has been an administrative assistant to Peter & Chuck Hogeterp since 2016. Prior to working for the Hogeterp’s, Jeliesa was an ECE supervisor where she gained knowledge and experience of working with families, coordinating staff, and office organization, which has been a valuable asset to the Hogeterp team. Jeliesa helps with all the behind the scene details at the office, she is efficient in assisting with deal transactions, managing the office, and organizing client’s files. Her attention to detail, driven, and honest personality are evident in providing the best customer service to Peter & Chuck’s clients. In her spare time, Jeliesa likes to go camping, have a glass of wine with her friends and spend time at the family dairy farm with her husband Mark and three young children, Cohen, Luke & Brielle.
Justine Glenney
Social Media Coordinator & Administrative AssistantJustine recently joined the Hogeterp team and brings with her significant experience in marketing, digital design, and administrative support. Growing up in Cayuga, she is very familiar with the Haldimand-Norfolk area, making her knowledge an added bonus to the group. Justine has a background in Sport Marketing, which has allowed her to adapt quickly to the fast paced and ever-changing market. Whether she is creating social media content, or assisting with a transaction, Justine ensures that all details are met in a timely and professional manner so that we can provide the best experience to our clients. Outside of work, Justine enjoys travelling, reading, and spending quality time with her three nieces.
